Fixed Income
Municipal Bonds
- Invest in individual municipal securities utilizing both the new issue and secondary market. Bond selection is dependent upon the needs of each clients portfolio, and whichever provides the best value for the client.
- Generate tax free income.
- Ideally ladder the portfolio if prudent. If not, the focus will be on strategically investing along the steepest part of the yield curve.
- Take full advantage of federal and state tax exemptions for clients that reside in a state with a high state income tax. An Oregon resident's portfolio will consist of nearly 100% Oregon municipals, diversified throughout the state of Oregon. A client that lives in a state without a state income tax will have a diversified portfolio as well, but will own multiple states.
Taxable Fixed Income
- Portfolio will consist of individual bonds with the primary focus being on the stability of income and principal.
- Asset allocation will be determined by performance of various sectors and the shape of the yield curve.
- Strategy will consist of securities investment grade or better.
Taxable Fixed Income Plus
- Portfolio will consist of individual bonds with the majority of holdings focusing on stability of income and principal but with an added allocation of high yield securities to increase the potential for higher returns.
- Bonds will be represented across the full rating scale.
Equities
Equity Strategy
Lone Pine's equity strategy is to utilize ETF's that will offer our clients diversification in sectors such as international, emerging markets, small cap, mid cap, and alternative investments. Each of these sectors will be weighted based on which sectors are best positioned to outperform. In addition to ETF's, depending on the size of the account we will enhance the portfolio with an all cap strategy of 20-25 individual stocks.
